BD DrySlide™ Reagent Slides

A convenient method for bacterial biochemical analysis. Self-contained, ready-to-use test slides consist of coated, 35mm film or impregnated paper, which operates as a carrier matrix for microbiological testing reagents.

• No thin paper strips to manipulate and no glass slides are involved
• Each individual slide contains four reaction areas

• DrySlide Indole is a 30-second, spot indole test that uses DMABA (5% p-dimethylaminobenzaldehyde) formulation to test for indole-producing bacteria
• DrySlide Nitrocefin is a qualitative test to detect the presence of bacteria that produces β-lactamase and meets NCCLS guidelines; each slide contains a reagent cassette impregnated with nitrocefin
• DrySlide Oxidase with each slide is film-coated with an oxidase reagent (N, N, N',N'-tetramethyl-p-phenylenediamine dihydrochloride) to test for the presence of cytochrome C oxidase activity in bacteria; a positive result produces a purple color within 20 seconds
• DrySlide PYR Kit has L-pyrrolidonyl-β-naphthylamide that is used for the rapid presumptive identification of Group D Enterococci and Strep Group A; includes 15 slides and 15, 0.5mL crush ampules
