Gibco™ CTS™ Viral Production Medium

Gibco CTS Viral Production Medium is a chemically defined, serum-free, protein-free, animal-origin-free, and phenol-red-free medium that is part of the CTS AAV-MAX Helper-Free AAV Production System. CTS Viral Production Medium is specifically developed for growth and transfection of CTS Viral Production Cells 2.0 (suspension-adapted HEK293F-derived cells) for adeno-associated virus (AAV) production.
Features of CTS Viral Production Medium include:
- Supports growth and transfection of CTS Viral Production Cells 2.0 from shake flask to bioreactor scales
- Enables production of high AAV titers, greater than 5 x 1010 vg/mL (unpurified)
- Formulated with GlutaMAX Supplement, so does not require further supplementation. With the exception of containing GlutaMAX Supplement, the formulation of this product is identical to research-grade Viral Production Medium.
- Manufactured in conformity with cGMP for medical devices (21 CFR Part 820) and follows USP <1043> and European Pharmacopoeia (Ph. Eur.) 5.2.12 recommendations. Drug Master File and Regulatory Support File available upon request
The CTS AAV-MAX Helper-Free AAV Production System is a scalable, high-titer platform for suspension AAV production with research-grade (Cat. No. A51217) and GMP versions to enable seamless transition from research to commercial manufacturing. Other components of the CTS AAV-MAX system include CTS Viral Production Cells 2.0 (A48400), CTS AAV-MAX Transfection Kit (A5427701), CTS Viral-Plex Complexation Buffer (A5145401), and Viral Production Medium, AGT (A5147101).
