Description
Con A is isolated from the Jack bean, Canavlia ensiformis. It is a lectin that binds alpha-D-glucose and alpha-D-mannose moieties found in various glycoproteins, glycolipids, and sugars and is a potent leukocyte mitogen. This reagent is intended for use in in vitro activation of human and mouse leukocytes.
