  • Rod enclosed in well-lagged metal tube with 3 tubules for steam inlet, outlet, thermometer
  • Rod to be investigated supported in steam jacket by detachable rubber bungs at tube ends 
  • Micrometer screw reading to 0.01mm for measuring expansion
  • Supplied with one each of aluminium, brass, iron expansion rods, without thermometer
