Invitrogen™ EU (5-Ethynyl Uridine)

Description
Detect global RNA transcription temporally and spatially in both in-vitro and in-vivo with the modified nucleotide, ethynyl uridine. Approach uses powerful click chemistry detection, a simple and robust two-step technique. In step one, the alkyne-containing biomolecule is fed to cells or animals and actively incorporated into RNA. Detection utilizes the chemoselective ligation or 'click' reaction between an azide and an alkyne where the modified protein is detected with a corresponding azide-containing dye or hapten using the Click-iT Cell Reaction Buffer Kit. Cells can be analyzed by fluorescence microscopy, flow cytometry or high-content imaging and analysis (HCS).
