Invitrogen™ NPE-caged ATP (Adenosine 5'-Triphosphate, P3-(1-(2-Nitrophenyl)Ethyl) Ester, Disodium Salt)

Flash UV photolysis of caging group creates release of free nucleotides
Supplier: Invitrogen™ A1048

Description
NPE-caged ATP is a nucleotide analog in which the terminal phosphate is esterified with a blocking group, rendering the molecule biologically inactive. Flash photolysis of the caging group with UV illumination at 360nm results in a rapid and highly localized release of the free nucleotide at the site of illumination.
