Kemtec™ Plant Cloning II Kit allows users to generate a plant by cloning its tissue in an exciting and challenging experience introducing students to biotechnology and sterile technique.

  • Students will establish a shoot multiplication culture using an African violet model, use sterile technique to develop African violet cloned cultures and induce the development of multiple shoots (clones) from the leaf tissue.
  • Resulting plantlets may be started in soil.
  • The complete process takes approximately three months.
  • No hood or incubator is required.
  • Includes an instruction manual and a flash drive with a presentation including images of plant material at various stages of the experiment.
