Serum is the liquid portion of blood containing proteins, hormones, and electrolytes. All Reagent Pooled Normal Serum is intended for veterinary in-vitro use only as a raw material or component. All blood is drawn from healthy animals maintained on our premises under the direct supervision of our staff veterinarians, are kept on antibiotic free diets, and are not medicated in any way. Calves are fasted for 12 hours before being used as donors.
