Description
- Qualitative Fit Testing (QLFT) is a pass/fail fit test that assesses the adequacy of respirator fit based on individual response to the aerosol test agent.
- Test may be used for all tight-fitting, negative pressure face pieces that will be used in atmospheres up to 10 times OSHA Permissible Exposure Limits (PEL).
- In addition to conducting the fit test, technicians will instruct wearers on all training points, such as donning/doffing, maintenance/storage, and more.
- Qualitative fit testing is conducted using the test agent Saccharin or Bitrex™ solution aerosol.
