- Provides tissue infiltration and high quality sections with minimal compression
- Gives brittle, difficult-to-section tissue an innate elasticity, producing wrinkle-free sections
- For large tissue or tissue that may normally present infiltration issues
- For lower temperature infiltration which aids in prevention of tissue distortion
