Universal Mouse Reference RNA is an RNA extract used as a positive control in QuantiGene assays. The Universal Mouse Reference RNA is composed of total RNA from 11 mouse cell lines:
- Embryo
- Embryo, fibroblast
- Kidney
- Liver, hepatocyte
- Lung, alveolar macrophage
- B-lymphocyte
- T-lymphocyte (thymus)
- Mammary gland
- Muscle myoblast
- Skin
- Testis
Equal quantities of DNase-treated total RNA from each cell line were pooled to make the universal control.
